BUSINESS ETHICS AND INTEGRITY
In every man’s life, there is a pearl of wisdom acquired
from knowledge and experiences.
This week provided me with insights into how one makes a
living truly and purely not putting other people's lives in danger.
Elder Lynn G. Robbins made a profound statement and I quote “
The acquiring of wealth and material possessions would become Satan’s most
fertile ground, tempting mankind with the cunning strategy that this world is our
destiny and that anything and everything in this world is available for money.”
Though we are to work in this world and make earns for a living
but it should not be done in the wrong way. I have come to understand that being
a man of honesty and integrity is the hallmark and should be exhibited when
nobody is around. The main content is to seek the intent to do good, bless humanity’s name, and glorify Heavenly Father.
Another lesson learned is why ethics are important in everyone’s
life. As an entrepreneur, it is a must to have an ethical guardrail or code of
conduct to guide your life’s activities. This will build your sense of
activeness and protect one’s self. One must be ready to obtain riches with the
intent to do good as one seek the kingdom of God first. The world is at the
stage where illegal and harmful substances seem to be emerging on the business
market so faster, letting mankind fall for them and perish. That is not the right
way to work and make money.
Be honest and be true to yourself. Think about the health of
customers who will come in for your goods and services. Treat them like never
before and love them. Build a strong relationship with them. And always remember
that “a good name is better than riches.”
I also learned about the formula for success and happiness
in this life which is to get up early, work hard, get your education, get
trained, find your oil, make your mark, and prepare to serve or give back. This
work. It works! I promise you that as you continue to implore this in your
life, turns and changes will come, miracles will happen in your life and your whole
life will be saturated.
Let us not be deceived by the evil one but continuously do well.
The end.
